Confidence. What is it? How do we nurture it?
Some of us have confidence in abundance. Others wish we had more. Nurturing confidence can help with perseverance, wellbeing, and happiness. How do we nurture confidence with our children?
- Remember to allow kids to learn from their mistakes. Life is sometimes complicated, learning from our mistakes can help to build resilience.
- Nurture hobbies and passions. Life-long friendships can form from pursuing interests that support our passions rather than trying to keep up with the crowd.
- Model confidence at home. Try new things and talk about it with your children.
Oxford university wants to hear from you, and your older children about confidence. If you are interested in taking part in a confidence survey to help with research, please join them in taking this survey: The Everyday Confidence Survey
Have a lovely weekend!
Warm regards,
