5 Steps to Wellbeing

Each year we do a safe and well survey with the middle and high school students and one of the topics in the survey are a reminder how often we are using the NHS 5 steps to wellbeing.  NHS has highlighted 5 steps to mental wellbeing that you might find useful for your family:

 - Make positive connections with family and friends
 - Be physically active
 - Learn new skills
 - Give to others
 - Pay attention to the present moment

If you want to read more about the 5 Steps, NHS has outlined some helpful ideas for each habit:  Five steps to mental wellbeing

Please let us know if we can assist your family with new year transitions and wellbeing this year.  We are happy to help with resources and interventions to ensure academic, social and emotional success for the students.  In our last thistle, we also discussed Winston's Wishwhich gave good advice for how to talk with your children about the Queen’s death if needed.

Warm Regards,

Valerie DeGraw
