Autumn Family Wellbeing Survey -  Feedback

Thank you for completing our Autumn family wellbeing survey, your feedback helps to guide general school interventions to ensure academic, social, and emotional wellbeing.

Results from the family wellbeing survey were encouraging.  95% said they were coping well with all the new routines (80% very well), and there were many positive comments about the start of school including:  “feeling part of the ISA community”, “our children are loving ISA and the activities and experiences offered", “lovely environment-teachers and staff are so welcoming”, and the “children are excited about learning, coming home each day with something new to share, excited for class events in the year ahead.” Parents also observed, “great support and advice from all the staff involved in the IB programme, and good communication with students and parents."

Some of you had more specific questions about after school sports and activities, how to use the PowerSchool and tech systems, and Community Link Child Care who work in partnership with ISA for elementary after school care.

We are happy to hear from you directly for more specific questions or concerns. Our principals and vice principals are available to answer questions: Mr. Kajiwara and Mr. Bertolloto in elementary, Dr. Carmichael and Ms. Cusworth in secondary, and our head of preschool Ms. Taylor. Mr. Little (head of school), has a hybrid virtual and in person coffee each Friday, times and links are posted on the Daily Notices in the Community Hub.

Our counsellors, Ms. Barker (high school), and Mrs. DeGraw (whole school), are available to promote wellbeing habits, discuss academic or personal concerns, and serve as an advocate for students and parents at ISA. All of our contact information can be found on the Connected "Who does what?" section of the Community Hub.

Thank you for reaching out if you have questions!

Warm regards,

Valerie DeGraw
