From the Middle/High School Principal

 A Special Thursday

On Thursday this week we were treated to an arts' double bill; a lunchtime concert and the IB Art Exhibition. Both events wonderfully showcased our students' talents and I am pleased several parents were able to join us to enjoy the events and engage with the students on their work. The performance aspect of the related academic subjects sets them apart with a single afternoon providing an opportunity to share many months of work. This is a high pressure time for the students involved and they can be proud of how they have responded.

These events are a fine lead into our final two weeks and I hope the students are looking forward to the break. There is still a lot to fit in to those 10 days of school though and it will be important that the students maintain focus until the 16th. We are now into 'dead week' at high school with exams just days away. Students in grades 10-12 are only expected on campus when they have a scheduled paper but they must sign in and out with their cards. Students in grade 9 can have the same study leave privilege but permission must first be granted by a parent or carer through the relevant form in our Powerschool system. Good luck to all our test takers.

On a separate note, a massive thank you to all the parents involved with the staff lunch on Wednesday. It was a great way to bring YESvember to a close and I know my colleagues' spirits were lifted by your generosity and kindness.
