From the Middle/High School Principal

 Progress Reports

At the end of this week Progress Reports will be available in Powerschool. Please take some time to go through these with your child and help them reflect on the first half of this semester. The reports are relatively short and focus on our learning habits. The descriptors (below) were developed by ISA teachers several years ago and represent the approaches to learning we believe our students need to develop to reach their full potential academically.

In March we will host online parent teacher conferences and this will be a further opportunity to engage with teacher's about your child's progress and to help build a strong school-home connection. More details to follow in the upcoming weeks.

Responsibility - The student is well prepared for class, submits quality work that meets deadlines and organises their time effectively. The student seeks support and guidance when needed.

Engagement - The student is focused and on task in class, ensuring a high level of effort and perseverance. The student takes risks with their thinking and willingly participates in discussions.

Collaboration - The student works constructively with others and is an effective communicator; listening respectfully to ideas and feedback from both teachers and students.
