From the MS/HS Principal

 Finishing Strong

Our grade 12s will very soon be starting their exam leave and there has been a lot going on to mark their imminent departure. At the HS assembly anonymous quotes were shared from students about their peers celebrating characteristics from the IB Learner Profile. Mrs Grogan shared that one of the most nominated traits was ‘caring’ and that spoke a lot to the cohesivity of this cohort.

The core elements of the DP were showcased through a gallery walk where each grade 12 student shared their experiences of TOK, the Extended Essay and CAS. These components underpin their academic subjects and support a holistic education.

The class also got to have lunch with some returning students as part of a transition to university talk and many enjoyed a final football match and barbeque against a ‘Principal’s XI’ that featured several members of staff who dusted off their boots for the occasion.

After the small matter of the exams we have an awards ceremony, prom and graduation to look forward to. I hope our seniors leave us with fond memories of their time at ISA. I feel they are very well prepared for the next chapter of their lives.
