From the Middle/High School Principal

Friday Feeling

It has been a great day on campus with a lot going on for students across middle and high school. The day kicked off with a Careers in our Community session for grades 8 to 11 where they got to choose three presentations from a range of visiting speakers working in a variety of sectors including; social work, design, business management, news reporting, the police and IT. The Q&A sessions after the short presentations were particularly insightful for students.

The high school students went onto their Field Day later in the morning which was ably run by the newly elected HS Student Council. Students competed for their houses in a range of challenges and were rewarded with a pleasant lunch in the sunshine. The cohort came back together at 2pm in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre for the High School Awards where achievement, effort and contributions to our community were recognised.

Later this evening our Middle School Student Council is holding an end of year dance. To their credit, they were keen to host something that everyone could enjoy to finish the year and I hope many of your children planned to attend.

A great way for our students to finish the week.
