Counsellor's Corner

Don't forget to take our Autumn Family Survey...

Thank you for taking our Autumn Family Survey  this month. Your important feedback helps us make better decisions for the students and their wellbeing with beginning year routines.

At ISA we often use the Shanarri wheel when discussing students and wellbeing.  These wellbeing indicators (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible, and Included), help to guide how we assist students with positive growth academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. The indicators are based on the Scottish safeguarding framework of “Getting it Right for Every Child” (Girfec).

Wellbeing doesn't only happen in our health, counselling or advisory interventions; it is an integral part of how we approach safeguarding, access to learning, and student activities. We hope your child benefits from our whole school wellbeing approach at ISA this year.

Warm regards,

Valerie DeGraw
