From the Head of School

Where next? The experiences of school have a value in themselves. We shouldn't see children merely as potential adults, and everything they do as a preparation for their future lives. Nevertheless, it is true that school eventually ends, and when it does, students need to be equipped for the next step. It is therefore a great pleasure to see the successes of our Grade 12 students in universities offers. You can see from the graphic world that they have been given options from across the English speaking world, as well as Spain and the Netherlands. We are not just international - over the last two years more than half our students stay in Scotland, and every Scottish university has given an offer to at least one of our students.

At ISA, we respect the fact that each student has their own pathway through education. We are not trying to get all students into an elite group of universities, and other options are various degrees of failure. Many types of life are worthwhile and fulfilling, and school should celebrate and support that.
