Celebrations, Prom and... "Amplifiers"
A fellow teacher commented last year that it's important to get together for social events as a community, allowing for important check points in life... he then went on to describe how even transoceanic submarine cables often require amplifiers that are strategically placed along the cable to boost signals due to distance.
The ISA community recently celebrated with our own "amplifier"—our annual Prom, a festive milestone to celebrate the social bond, hard work, and shared journey of our IB high school students. The coming together of students dressed in their finest is an important ISA event, and a reminder to pause, dance, and celebrate.
The energy in the room was electric, but the ultimate "amplifier" moment of the night happened when "Dancing Queen" started playing—absolutely everyone hit the floor, filling the room with incredible fun!
A big shout out to Zou Fraser, our Encore director, who along with the student prom committee, helped to create such a memorable evening.
Warm regards,
Valerie DeGraw
School Counsellor
