Behavioural Activation - A big concept with a simple message...
Behavioural activation, a cognitive behaviour skill, can help our children with worries and social withdrawal. By identifying something they might be interested in, we help them make small changes towards goals that will improve things like social interaction, hobbies, and sports. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy helps kids understand how thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. Behavioural activation helps us use behaviours to change our emotional state.
By helping children identify goals, and nurturing small changes or "tiny habits" to achieve those goals, we can help them change avoidance habits to participation over time, which helps to improve mood and self esteem. These habits can help our children to feel more connected with friends and their community.

Have a lovely weekend!
